Trinity offers a unique Kindergarten Preparation Class (established in August 2013) for those children in need of an additional school year prior to beginning Kindergarten - perfect for those children with late birthdays. The program is offered to children who have completed a VPK or PreK 4 program, are age 5, and are eligible for Kindergarten. This is a great opportunity for the child needing to grow emotionally, socially, and academically to develop the confidence for success in school and is specifically recommended for those children turning 5 during the summer months.
Our Kindergarten Prep class is the only program of its kind in Northern Palm Beach county. The classroom environment mirrors that of a Kindergarten class with reading groups, math groups, and learning centers. Students participate in Fine Arts classes including Spanish, music, P.E., and computers. While the students have a feeling of success and progression in academics, their small class environment provides them with the opportunity to mature.
Through the use of the Abeka curriculum combined with additional resources, the teacher is able to customize lessons based on student needs. The focus of this program is to strengthen student skills in phonics, reading, and number skills. Science, social studies, and vocabulary are also incorporated into this class.
Current academic hours for Kindergarten Prep: 9:00am - 2:00pm
(Students are able to enroll in Morning Care as early as 8:00am and Extended Care as late as 5:30pm.)
