In all Kindergarten and Elementary classes, students are taught the Bible through daily lessons and during weekly chapel services.  The Language Arts program includes reading, grammar, creative writing, spelling, and handwriting.  Our reading program allows students to progress at their own pace.  Our high-energy program in mathematics, science, health, and social studies, which includes history and geography, produces students with strong critical-thinking skills.

Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 receive all core subjects under the instruction of their homeroom teacher.  The children transition out of the classroom to attend all Fine Arts classes including P.E., Music, Spanish, Art, and Computers.  Changing classes and becoming familiar with a variety of lesson presentations prepares our students for the instructional practice utilized in grades 2 - 5.

In the 2014-2015 school year, we adopted the Team Teaching Instructional Method for grades 2 - 5.  Team teaching allows for each teacher to focus on the subject matter they have a passion to teach.  It allows teachers to present 3-4 subjects, instead of the required 7-8 subjects.  This instructional practice allows teachers to have a better understanding of content and more time to focus on the presentation of the content.  Studies show better teacher preparation results in students being on-task, engaged, using higher level thinking, and, ultimately producing higher student achievement. Students in grades 2-5 will also attend all Fine Arts classes.
